Time to talk chemistry! We’re drawn to Pure Orange because this oil contains components (you may have also heard them called “constituents”) that work together to affect our body in unique ways. Let’s break it down:

  • LIMONENE

    Known for its powerful cleansing properties, this component gives citrus fruits the uplifting and energizing aroma we all recognize and love!

  • LINALOOL

    This component is also found in Pure Lavender.

  • DECANAL

    This component, common to many citrus oils, creates a sweet, fresh, orange aroma.

  • MYRCENE

    A sharp, woody, spicy aroma that creates an atmosphere of alertness.

Safety

If pregnant or nursing, consult your health professional before use. Avoid contact with eyes. For external use only. Avoid direct sunlight or UV rays up to 12hours after applying. Keep out of reach of children. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Usage Ideas

Sweet Citrus Laundry Blend

Add this blend of essential oils to each of your dryer balls and let the oil absorb into the wool before use.

  • 4 drops Pure Sweet Orange
  • 4 drops Pure Lemon

Mop & Stove Cleaning

Orange has fresh clean scent and powerful cleansing properties. Add 3-5 drops of Pure Orange to MelaMagic Heavy Duty Cleaner, when you are mopping the floor or cleaning greasy stove.
 

Sunny Day Joyful Blend

Diffuse this blend to create an energetic atmosphere.

Orange's Backstory

Derived from the peels of the world’s oldest and most commonly grown tree fruit, orange oil is best known for its cheerful scent and refreshing properties! Orange seeds were first introduced to the Americas by Christopher Columbus in 1493, and they eventually reached Haiti and the Caribbean.

Historical sources also note that Spanish explorer Ponce de Leon introduced oranges to Florida—where they’re now known as the official state fruit! 

Today, sweet orange oil found in perfumes, skin care products, and cleaning supplies such as soaps and detergents.
